Into the Portal: A Guided Tour of the Future Rail Connection to the Salesforce Transit Center
**** IFMA MEMBERS ONLY EVENT***** The Salesforce Transit Center spans over four blocks and serves as a major multimodal hub operated by the Transbay Joint Powers Authority, linking nine transit systems across eight Bay Area counties. This impressive facility includes six levels, with four currently open to the public. Among these are a bus deck featuring 37 bus bays and a 5.4-acre rooftop park with 13 gardens, offering a variety of free public activities for visitors to enjoy. On this exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, you’ll explore the public areas, admire art installations, and get a glimpse of the two-level trainbox beneath the center. This trainbox is set to house rail service when Caltrain, followed by California High-Speed Rail, connects to the center in the future.
