Volunteering Guidelines:
***Please park on the streets surrounding the Food Bank, only meter spaces may be available. The spaces directly in front of the Food Bank are for loading only. -Our parking lot is for our partner agencies picking up food for their participants. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your shift. Volunteers MUST meet age requirements below and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Weekdays: 10+ years old Saturdays: 8+ years old This shift can qualify for SFMTA, SF Court, and Project 20 hours, more info here. —- Guidelines: • Only volunteer if you are healthy and completely comfortable serving. • Closed-toe shoes are required at all volunteer projects. • We recommend volunteers not wear jewelry. If worn, all items must be covered by the provided gloves and/or hairnets. • We suggest dressing in casual and clean layers, as the temperature in the warehouse is often cool.
